Boston retained its gold status in the East Midlands in Bloom competition for the second year running. In his report the judge said: "the tour of the town demonstrated the growing strength and community commitment to Bloom and the positive impacts that it is having."

At the regional awards event at Mansfield, the town also scooped the Judges' Award 2016 for the transformation of the B&M open space by a range of partners.

Attention has now turned to this year's Bloom entry, which will be judged on the 11th July 2017.  The full route is shown below:-

New features include the Art Deco style garden at Central Park, the new pollinator friendly border at B & M and the permanent sheep sculptures at Bargate roundabout.,

Boston has the honour of hosting this year's East Midlands in Bloom awards at Boston Stump on 13th September 2017.  Over 250 representatives from the region are expected to attend the prestigious awards.
